Kahn Devine, Systems Support Officer, WITT

I’m studying at the Western Institute of Technology Taranaki, studying at Open Polytechnic (Bachelors of Applied IT).
I work at WITT and provide systems, software, hardware and network support to ensure that the IT needs of WITT’s students and staff members are met.

I attended Why Ora while at Spotswood College.
I gained the NMIT eCampus (Certificate in I.T.) while I was working.

I then attained a WITT (Diploma in I.T.) being a fulltime on campus student.

I wanted a job where I could make a bigger impact and one I was passionate about.

I enjoy being able to use something I’m passionate about (technology) to create a difference for learners. Knowing everything I do is to help the success of the students is really rewarding.

The best part about transitioning learning to digital is it makes the resources available for everyone.
The use of powerful software such as translation software enables all learners of different cultures and languages to be able to learn.
